How I Work

Therapy with me is collaborative, evidence-based, and deeply personal. You're not a diagnosis or a case file-you're a person I get to know thoroughly. Sessions are focused, practical, and grounded in the most current research on the mental health of high-achievers-the populations most psychology textbooks were never really written about.

The Process

01
Initial Consultation

We start with a free 20-minute call to understand what's bringing you in and whether working together feels right. No pressure, no commitment-just an honest conversation.

02
Assessment Sessions

The first 2–3 sessions are about building a complete picture. We'll explore your history, what patterns you've noticed, what's tried-and-failed before, and what you actually need from therapy.

03
Collaborative Treatment Plan

Together, we create a specific plan for what we're working on and how. You'll always understand the "why" behind what we're doing and what to expect.

04
Regular Sessions & Practical Tools

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. We'll address what's driving your struggle and equip you with concrete tools-grounding techniques, boundary frameworks, nervous system resets-that you can use between sessions.

05
Ongoing Review & Adjustment

Every few weeks, we check in on what's working and what isn't. Treatment adjusts as you do. Continuity matters-you'll see the same therapist every time.

What to Expect

Format: Online sessions via secure video call. Available worldwide.

Frequency: Typically weekly, though we can adjust based on your needs and what works for your schedule.

Duration: There's no fixed endpoint. Some people work with me for 6 months, others for longer. We move at your pace and stop when you feel ready.

Approach: I use evidence-based methods with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at the core, alongside schema-, ACT- and DBT-informed approaches trained as part of my CBT masters, trauma-informed methods, and somatic (body-based) techniques. Everything is tailored to you-not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

What often sits underneath: A lot of my work involves what's driving the presenting problem rather than only the problem itself-developmental trauma, ADHD (diagnosed or long-suspected), and OCD patterns are common underlying threads, particularly in burnout and addiction. If assessment or diagnosis is needed, I'll say so honestly and help you find the right route.

Confidentiality: Everything shared in sessions is confidential. I'm bound by professional ethics and legal requirements to protect your privacy.
